4 Miniature Optical Rail Miniature Optical Rail are stable mounting and positioning are required to build optical systems. In the laboratory, posts and post holders are the most com- monly used methods of mounting optical component holders. These methods permit a significant amount of vertical and angu- lar adjustment for coarse alignment, without sacrificing rigidity. Post clamps offer added mounting flexibility with right-angle or adjustable-angle post combinations. Pillars provide stable structures for mounting optical components. They can be positioned anywhere on an optical table and securely held in place with a clamping fork. A pillar mounting platform can then be added to the top of a pillar, or several pillars can be stacked together. Twenty-millimeter-diameter posts can be used if taller pillars are required. Slotted mounting bases are available for mounting and positioning component holders, post holders, and positioning stages. 4 Lab Jack These utilizes a dual pantograph design.Strong, excellent quality support jack is constructed of aluminum and stainless steel. The adjustment mechanism uses a lead screw to close the angle between the opposing pairs of supporting struts. The top plate has an array of 35 M6 tapped mounting holes on 50mm centers. These utilizes a dual-pantograph design which offers excellent rigidity. The adjustment mechanism uses a lead screw to close the angle between the opposing pairs of supporting struts. The Mini experimental offers the same highly rigid dual-pantograph design but in a smaller package size. The adjustment mechanism provides smooth vertical motion while supporting vertical loads of up to 50lbs. The top and bottom plates each offer a generous supply of tapped holes and counter bores, adding to mounting flexibility. Height adjustment is made with the hex wrench included with this, or with a 1/8 in. ball driver. This is an economy jack which allows for coarse adjustment of height only. There is unfortunately nothing we can do about this. Therefore, we are selling the jack assuming that there is no crank handle included, just the white knob. If you need one with the crank handle, please contact us before ordering. 4 XY With Magnetic Base All models can be equipped with a magnetic base to make them perfectly stable on curved and compatible metallic surfaces.A magnetic base can be used to position a component securely anywhere on a magnetic optical table or breadboard, and it allows the component to be moved without the use of tools.
